The Culture Show: Your Paintings - A Pretty Good Watch!

Recently, I've read a lot online about the issue of connoisseurship in art history and whether or not it is an important tool today. The debate has been a pretty lively one so I was keen to watch the BBC's Culture Show Special (link here) based on the Your Paintings Project (impressively, it has just finished making images and information for over 210,000 works in our national collections available online). It demonstrates quite clearly (to me anyway) what supporters of the discipline have been going on about.
